Professor Jim Al-Khalili traces the story of arguably the most important, accurate and yet perplexing scientific theory ever: quantum physics.

The story of quantum physics starts at the beginning of the 20th century with scientists trying to better understand how light bulbs work. This simple question soon led scientists deep into the hidden workings of matter, into the sub-atomic building blocks of the world around us. Here they discovered phenomena unlike any encountered before – a realm where things can be in many places at once, where chance and probability call the shots and where reality appears to only truly exist when we observe it.

Albert Einstein hated the idea that nature, at its most fundamental level, is governed by chance. Jim reveals how in the 1930’s, Einstein thought he’d found a fatal flaw in quantum physics. This was not taken seriously until it was tested in the 1960s. Professor Al-Khalili repeats this critical experiment, posing the question does reality really exist, or do we conjure it into existence by the act of observation?

Elsewhere, we explore how the most famous law of quantum physics – The Uncertainty Principle – is obeyed by plants and trees as they capture sunlight during the vital process of photosynthesis. Could quantum mechanics explain the greatest mystery in biology – evolution?

im sure your playing tricky dicky to but atleast you offer something educational pushing things forward not like the rest of these bullshitting hollywood cunts fuckin one thing i dont hate on here bullshit meters gone through the roof and still these dickheads carry on……. but yeah most of the other stuff on here just pointless bullshit. not so sure on the whole quantum thing as to whether what actually exists there but electricity thing educational progressive not regressive bullshit

So there’s things I’ve seen that is particularly rare for a person to see. Luckily me and a friend witnessed this object together. It was in the distance and looked like a plane with the sun reflecting off it. Then bam, it moved across the whole sky at an incredible amount of speed. Like it had no resistance. Then I stopped on a dime. Then shot straight up out of the atmosphere.

Ah ha you can't get it in through the door well that cannot have been a proton then it had to have been a deuteron tehe

But if yo could calculate the speed of the exciton then you could forma perimeter net and capture it or triangulate it's where abouts.

You say that the exciton does not know where it is going but you have just said that particles change or something ?

Brilliant proton tunneling love it put that into the equation of teleportation electricity is able to tunnel through my hand and metal substances because they conduct electricity but has that got anything to do with protons ? A spirit is a form of energy that is said to be a little like electricity in that like electricity it can tunnel therefore if this tunneling is to do with protons could we now form a new form of exorcism based upon scientific facts?

ah metamorphism brilliant can we clone that and if we could then could we use that to be able to help us become changelings such as Humans with wings that we could actually fly with tehe

Tehehe love your music another great vid bro man your well nice tehe love this stuff wish you had been my science teacher. so entanglement is like having a quantum twin so that weird feeling that you sometimes have when you meet someone that you do not believe you have ever met before in this world could actually be a quantum twin rather than a pastlife experience hmmm?

OK I'll assume there are actually a few smart people here who can understand and respond intelligently to what I am about to say. I thought that in Quantum Entanglement the particles exhibit "CONTRARY " characteristics. If one were "green" then the other entangled particle would immediately be "Blue". This is the opposite of what he is saying in this documentary. It does matter if the entangled particles are contrary or complimentary.
